Step 2 - choose from a legal or a symbolic ceremony

Legal ceremonies in Sorrento take place in the Cloisters or Villa Fondi and in a few wedding venues which have been licenced.  You will be legally married following this ceremony which is recognised at home in England. Alternatively, you could opt for a symbolic ceremony, which can take place anywhere and is more personal in style. You would need to have a simple signing in England at your local registry office to legalise the marriage which costs.

Our services include:

Symbolic Ceremony - £1,500

• A meeting in England with your celebrant to discuss every aspect of your symbolic ceremony who will create a bespoke script and send it to you for checking
• A celebration certificate for you and witnesses to sign on the day and a presentation copy of the script to keep as a memento
• Advice on poems, music and reading choices
• Arrangement of your symbolic ceremony anywhere you choose
• Providing a trained independent celebrant for your symbolic ceremony in Italy

Legal Italian Ceremony - £2,500

• Translation and presenting the documents to the local authorities and Registration of wedding in Italy
• Full administration and handling fees and all taxes
• Liaison between the Foreign and Commonwealth office on your behalf and help in filling out your application forms
• One-hour venue hire fees of the Sorrento Cloisters or Villa Fondi
• All fees and local taxes associated with the ceremony
• All fees for obtaining the Wedding Certificate
• Translator during your ceremony
• Mayor’s fees to come out to the venue
• Reserving and booking the civil ceremony location, date and time
• Full UK documentation service including apostilles, document checking and sending documents by courier to Italy (please ask for more details)
